Softball Recap: Kings Mountain's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kings Mountain hadn't done well against Crest recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mountaineers skirted past the Chargers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Mountaineers: when they faced off against the Chargers back in March, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The victory was the third in a row for Kings Mountain, bringing their record up to 12-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Crest, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 17-3.

Kings Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against South Point on the 28th. As for Crest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-1 win against North Gaston on the 28th.
