Preview: Jackson Red Devils vs. Peach County Trojans

Jackson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Peach County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jackson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.

Jackson's game was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 52-40 to Upson-Lee. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jackson in their matchups with Upson-Lee: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite their defeat, Jackson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kevan Gray, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Josh Goodrum, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Peach County entered their tilt with Pike County with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Peach County took down Pike County 59-43 on Tuesday.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Peach County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Jackson came out on top in a nail-biter against Peach County when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 62-59. Will Jackson repeat their success, or does Peach County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
