Soccer Recap: Holy Spirit Catholic Takes a Loss

If Holy Spirit Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Cornerstone last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Holy Spirit Catholic Saints fell just short of the Paul W. Bryant Stampede by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Saints were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Stampede earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Holy Spirit Catholic dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Paul W. Bryant, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Holy Spirit Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Altamont at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. Paul W. Bryant also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Hillcrest at 7:15 p.m. on March 18th.
