Softball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Pinellas Park Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pinellas Park, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Coming up, Lakewood will face off against Dunedin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Pinellas Park, they will take on Palm Harbor University at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
