After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Grosse Pointe South finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Alex Foote spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

Grosse Pointe South's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Notre Dame Prep, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
