Wesleyan has gone 8-1 against Mount Vernon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolves will head out to square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Mount Vernon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wesleyan, who comes in off a win.

Wesleyan was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mount Pisgah Christian on Friday. The Wolves took their contest with ease, bagging a 44-0 victory over the Patriots. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Patriots are ranked 424th).

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon took a blow against Fellowship Christian on Friday, falling 42-15.

Wesleyan will have to keep a close watch on Keon Clealand and Taurean Rawlins, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mount Vernon's prior game. Clealand rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries, while Rawlins picked up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Wesleyan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Mount Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Wesleyan strolled past Mount Vernon when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 42-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
