Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Taylor's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Taylor won the last time they faced Indian Hill and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Braves 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ellie Stafford made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Gabby Fenton was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Morgan Raugh was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Taylor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Hill only posted an OBP of .385.

Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Indian Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
