Basketball Recap: Bethesda Christian Comes Up Short

Bethesda Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seeger Patriots. While Bethesda Christian didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Seeger 12-8 in the first quarter.

Tyler Harris had a dynamite game for Seeger, going 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Harris has become a key player for Seeger: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 5-9 otherwise. Jack Cole was another key player, putting up ten points.

Bethesda Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Seeger, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Bethesda Christian will be playing at home against Speedway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethesda Christian is facing Speedway at the right time seeing as Speedway is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Seeger, they will head out to face off against Western Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seeger is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.
