Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Radley Strong and Aden Brown Lead Dunbar to Victory + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunbar). They came out on top against the Ron Brown Monarchs by a score of 71-62 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Crimson Tide in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won seven in a row.

Dunbar was led to victory by Aden Brown and Radley Strong. Brown dropped a double-double with 30 points and 16 boards, while Strong posted 22 points along with five assists and three steals. Strong's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deontae Brown, who put up six points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Dunbar was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Ron Brown lost, don't look at Derrick Harley. Despite the final result, he had 13 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Harley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Praise Nwafor, who earned 13 points.

Dunbar's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ron Brown, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Looking ahead, Dunbar is taking a road trip to challenge McKinley Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ron Brown, they will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
