Basketball Game Preview: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Malone Tigers

The Liberty County Bulldogs will take on the Malone Tigers on Thursday. Liberty County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Liberty County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-12 win over Cottondale. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Liberty County found their leader in freshman Kaylee Sexton, who posted 22 points. The dominant performance gave Sexton a new career-high in points. Emmie Peddie was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Malone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Marianna by a score of 41-33 on Friday.

Malone's record now sits at 5-10. As for Liberty County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Liberty County and Malone were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but Liberty County came up empty-handed after a 35-34 defeat. Can Liberty County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
