Baseball Recap: Harriman Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Harriman's offense. They came up short against the Roane County Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 10-0. The loss leaves the Blue Devils still looking for their first win of the season.

Harriman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Knobloch, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double was Knobloch's first of the season.

Harriman's record now sits at 0-8. As for Roane County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harriman will take on Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oakdale has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.46 runs per game on average), something Harriman will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roane County, they will square off against Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
