Preview: New Britain Golden Hurricanes vs. Enfield Eagles
The New Britain Golden Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Enfield Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in New Britain's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Enfield has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Last Saturday, New Britain didn't have too much trouble with Harding at home as they won 64-47. Given New Britain's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Harding is ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Enfield was beaten by East Catholic 92-52 on Friday. Enfield has not had much luck with East Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
New Britain is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Enfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
New Britain came up short against Enfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 57-46. Can New Britain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
