Soccer Game Preview: Sanger vs. McLane + Official Tickets

The Sanger Apaches will take on the McLane Highlanders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Sanger's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while McLane has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Sanger's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Sanger West. Given Sanger's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Sanger West are ranked 442nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elijah Pimental was the driving force of Sanger's attack as he scored both of Sanger's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, McLane played in-conference for the first time on Wednesday and got just the result they were looking for. They skirted past Fresno 2-1. McLane haven't had any issues with Fresno recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

McLane's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-3. As for Sanger, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-3.

Sanger beat McLane by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, winning 1-0. Do the Apaches have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Highlanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
