Softball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Lions vs. Laton Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Sadly, Wonderful College Prep Academy is still looking for their first win of the season after four  contests. Their  tough  17-6 loss to the Laton Mustangs  on Friday might stick with them for a while. One positive for Wonderful College Prep Academy, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 For Laton's part,  Evelyn Buttle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Buttle was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Emily Thomas was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and six  RBI while going 2-for-4.  Madison Heffley was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Wonderful College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Laton, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Alpaugh the next time they take the field. Laton will  host Alpaugh at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday, while Wonderful College Prep Academy will head out to face them  at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday.
