Willowbrook is a perfect 6-0 against Proviso West since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Warriors will challenge the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. Proviso West took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Willowbrook, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Willowbrook had just enough and edged out Hinsdale South 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Ryan Adamczyk tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

At the plate, Willowbrook's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alec Ramey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Ramey brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Proviso West came up short against York on Thursday, falling 17-1. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Proviso West has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Willowbrook, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Willowbrook beat Proviso West 3-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
