Volleyball Game Preview: Pine Tree Pirates vs. Spring Hill Panthers

The Pine Tree Pirates will head out to face off against the Spring Hill Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Pine Tree sitting on four straight victories and Spring Hill on six.

Pine Tree barely beat Cumberland Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates blew past the Knights 3-0 on Friday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Spring Hill made easy work of Chapel Hill on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Spring Hill took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.

Pine Tree's victory bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Spring Hill, their win bumped their record up to 28-6.

Pine Tree suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Spring Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Pirates, Abby Fisher (who had 23 digs and four assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
