Softball Recap: Harford Tech Comes Up Short

Harford Tech and Patterson Mill squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Harford Tech had to settle for second. They came up short against Patterson Mill, falling 11-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cobras, who until this contest were averaging 3.87 runs allowed.

Harford Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyric Strong, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Strong has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Harford Tech's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Patterson Mill, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Harford Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patterson Mill, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Fallston at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Patterson Mill 2, Fallston 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
