There's no place like home for Elysian Fields, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Ore City Rebels 16-15. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kaylen Commander was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Taylor Youngblood was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Elysian Fields always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ore City only posted an OBP of .325.

With the win, Elysian Fields broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-14. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Ore City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10-1.
