Lansing had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against the De Soto Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2021, but that streak is no more.

While Lansing won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Avery Sands paced Lansing's offense, picking up 17 kills. Sands got some help from Brooklyn Andrews and her 25 assists. Sami Gray controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lansing's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for De Soto, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.

Lansing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Spring Hill on the 27th. As for De Soto, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Shawnee Mission Northwest on the 27th.
