Baseball Recap: Southern Wayne Comes Up Short

Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Hunt Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Southern Wayne saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Odom, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Cameron Beasley also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hunt, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southern Wayne will face off against rival Fike at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hunt is set to square off against their familiar foe C.B. Aycock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
