Softball Recap: Eau Claire Comes Up Short

Eau Claire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Fairfield Central Griffins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.

Eau Claire's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fairfield Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Eau Claire will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Chester at 5:30 p.m. As for Fairfield Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Newberry at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
