Baseball Recap: Veterans Memorial Comes Up Short

Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tivy Antlers, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Veterans Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Ulrich, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That double was Ulrich's first of the season.

Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Tivy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tivy beat Veterans Memorial by a score of 12-3 on Friday.
