Basketball Recap: Ranney Drops Season-High Score on Shore Regional

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ranney). They blew past the Shore Regional Blue Devils 66-41 on Monday. Ranney pushed the score to 54-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Shore Regional cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Shore Regional still got an impressive performance from Kimi Sayson, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Grace Ascolese was another key player, putting up three points and five rebounds.

Ranney's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Shore Regional, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ranney will welcome Trinity Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shore Regional, they will host Ocean Township at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
