Recap: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Coral Springs Colts
The Cypress Bay Lightning's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against Coral Springs by a score of 60-50. This was payback for Cypress Bay, who suffered a 62-25 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Peyton Looky, who scored 25 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie McKinney, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Cypress Bay's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Coral Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Cypress Bay will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cooper City at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Coral Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Monarch at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Monarch comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
