Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Takes a Loss

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Valor Academy. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Valor Academy earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16, 15-12.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Valor Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Magnolia Science Academy Reseda is set to square off against their familiar foe Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valor Academy will take on rival Lake Balboa College Prep at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
