Basketball Recap: Josie Barrett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burns over Rawlins

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. The game between them and the Rawlins Outlaws didn't end well, with the Burns Broncs falling 48-32. That's two games in a row now that the Broncs have lost by exactly 16 points.

Several Broncs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Barrett, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Barrett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in each of the last three games she's played. Myla Medley was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Burns' loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Rawlins, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-32 defeat against Buffalo on the 15th. As for Rawlins, they have also already played their next contest, a 48-31 loss against Mountain View on the 15th.
