Baseball Game Preview: Bonneville Lakers vs. Viewmont Vikings

For the second straight game, Bonneville will face off against Viewmont. The Lakers will welcome the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bonneville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while Viewmont will come in with seven straight victories.

Bonneville heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They lost 10-0 to Viewmont.

For Viewmont's part, Kade Marriott was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Marriott has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Spencer Rees, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Viewmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville didn't got any hits.

Viewmont's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bonneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.
