For the second straight game, Hattiesburg will face off against Pearl River Central. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hattiesburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Hattiesburg didn't have quite enough to beat Pearl River Central and fell 5-4. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Andrew Jordan put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ramarion Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

The victory was the third in a row for Pearl River Central, bringing their record up to 16-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hattiesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
