Volleyball Recap: Ridgefield Takes Down Shelton in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Ridgefield rose to the challenge on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Shelton Gaels. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Gaels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Ridgefield's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Shelton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Ridgefield will challenge Simsbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
