Soccer Recap: Lely Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lely can now relate to. They came up short against the Estero Wildcats on Monday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Wildcats are ranked 109th).

Lely's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Estero, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3-1.

Lely does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Estero, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Estero challenge the Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
