Baseball Recap: Troy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Troy entered their tilt with Clearwater Valley on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since April 23, 2024.

Dominic Holden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 14 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Troy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 5-6 otherwise. Holden was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
