Basketball Game Recap: Heuvelton Central Bulldogs vs. Tupper Lake Lumberjacks

The Heuvelton Central Bulldogs kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 65-52 to Tupper Lake. Heuvelton Central lost against Tupper Lake in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-24 score last time.

Thomas Peterson had an outrageously good game for Tupper Lake as he scored 23 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Michael Corneau was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds.

Heuvelton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Tupper Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heuvelton Central will square off against Franklin Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tupper Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Parishville-Hopkinton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
