Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mercer Island). They put the hurt on the Renton Red Hawks with a sharp 51-25 victory on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Islanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mercer Island's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kainoa Brown, who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high. Jonah Battema also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
