Baseball Recap: Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds vs. Indiana Little Indians

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holy Ghost Prep had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indiana Little Indians and snuck past 6-5. The win was familiar territory for Holy Ghost Prep who now have six in a row.

Benjamin McNab looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Matthew Evans was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI. Tyler Bergkoetter was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.

On Indiana's side, they got a good showing from Greg Minnick, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit.
