It was a good run, but Lake Linden-Hubbell unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houghton Gremlins. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lakes, who until this game were averaging 3.83 runs allowed.

Ashlyn Steves made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Corrigan, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lake Linden-Hubbell's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Houghton, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Linden-Hubbell will host Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Houghton, they will welcome Negaunee at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
