Football Recap: The Meadows School Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Meadows School extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boulder City Eagles. Despite 120 more yards than the Eagles, the Mustangs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The Meadows School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Pereira, who threw for 385 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 42 yards. Ryan Kirk also helped out as he racked up 157 receiving yards.

As for Boulder City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 6, 2024.

Coen Burrows was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 163 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 163 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The Meadows School wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 57-26 defeat against Pahrump Valley on the 17th. As for Boulder City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-20 loss against Virgin Valley on the 17th.
