Bismarck gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the South Iron Panthers. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bismarck was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-6, 25-5.
Karlee Dickey had a dynamite game, getting 11 aces and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Hawkins, who had seven kills and five aces.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bismarck will head out to challenge Ellington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Iron, they will venture away from home to take on St. Paul Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
