Northbrook kept a clean sheet against Cypress Creek on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cypress Creek Cougars, sneaking past 1-0. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Cougars are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northbrook's one-goal win came courtesy of Kevin Garay, who's now up to six this season.

The win made it two in a row for Northbrook and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Cypress Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Northbrook will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Cy-Fair at 7:30 p.m. As for Cypress Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Jersey Village at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
