Softball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Rebels vs. Montachusett RVT Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Notre Dame Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 7-1.
Mila Aldrin was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Spaulding made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maddie Sharry, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
