Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. Cristo Rey Cougar
The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Cristo Rey on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Liberty Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Liberty Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Minier led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six assists and two steals. Carson Crabtree was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Liberty Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Cristo Rey, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Liberty Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-45 defeat vs. Ridgedale on the 12th. Cristo Rey will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against New Philadelphia at 5:00 p.m. on February 19th.
