Baseball Recap: Muleshoe Takes a Loss

Muleshoe lost against Shallowater back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Muleshoe took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shallowater.

Muleshoe saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Vargas, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Yahir Quezada was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Muleshoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Shallowater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Muleshoe is set to face off against their familiar foe Idalou at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Shallowater will take on rival Littlefield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Shallowater 3.5, Littlefield 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
