Basketball Recap: Harleton Wildcats vs. Tenaha Tigers

Harleton and Tenaha squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Harleton had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 53-17 loss at the hands of the Tenaha Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 61 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tenaha found their leader in freshman Angel Alexander, who en route to 23 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Alexander has scored at least a third of Tenaha's points. Another player making a difference was Kaedynce Cox, who posted five points along with 17 rebounds and seven blocks.

Harleton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Tenaha, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 31-6.

Harleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tenaha, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-39 loss against Martins Mill on the 18th.
