Despite their defeat, Skyline saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Norah Pearce, who posted eight points and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave Pearce a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eve Sanders, who had four points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 93-28 win over East. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.
West's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
Skyline was taken down by West 86-35 when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Falatea, who went 12 of 21 en route to 29 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. Now that Skyline knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
