WPIAL A Black Hills recap November 5, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Black Hills this week, Monessen beat West Shamokin 37-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Fort Cherry and Carmichaels played the most contested game in the league this week, with Fort Cherry eventually emerging with a 13-12 victory. Zak Dysert caught 3 passes for 42 yards in the win.

Fort Cherry's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rangers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Heslin has thrown for 1,053 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Alex Babirad has 18 catches for 521 yards.

The Rangers' offense has racked up 395 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Clairton has allowed only 124 on the year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fort Cherry takes on the Bears. Jim Shiel's team is in second place, while Clairton is in third place.

Monessen led WPIAL A Black Hills in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on the Wolves.
