Baseball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South's tournament run continued when they took on West Covina on Saturday. The Spartans fell 9-5 to the Bulldogs.

Dane Rhodes was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for West Covina, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

South wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 loss against Beckman on the 7th. As for West Covina, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Ontario Christian on the 7th.
