Upper Darby moved up to 217 from 383 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Central. The Royals climbed the ranks as a result of beating Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic 28-27.

Garnet Valley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to sixth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Jaguars defeated Unionville 35-14.

Marple Newtown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tommy Davis threw for 43 yards and Abel Hoff had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Ross Binder chipped in 101 yards.

The Fightin' Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.

An important game coming up this the league this week will be when Garnet Valley takes on Upper Darby. At the moment, Mike Ricci's team is in sixth, while Rich Gentile's team is in first.

Marple Newtown lost to the Knights 38-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Binder in the defeat.
