Baseball Recap: Louisville Comes Up Short

Louisville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Thurston-Cuming County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to Thurston-Cuming County. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Louisville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jederick Brito-Diaz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brito-Diaz also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Thurston-Cuming County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Louisville is set to square off against their familiar foe Douglas County West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Thurston-Cuming County will face off against rival St. Paul/Palmer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
