Basketball Recap: White Station Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but White Station ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 50-46 W over the Overton Wolverines. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Spartans were the better team in the second half.

White Station got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amare Boothe out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Pruitt, who posted eight points.

White Station was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overton only racked up five assists.

Overton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aalanna Robinson, who earned three points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Dallas McElroy, who scored 13 points and four steals.

The win (which was White Station's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. As for Overton, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kingsbury the next time they take the court. White Station will head out to face Kingsbury at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Overton will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
