Recap: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. West Caldwell Warriors

The Newton-Conover Red Devils won the last time they faced the West Caldwell Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Newton-Conover narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past West Caldwell 38-35.

Newton-Conover got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grayson Rowe out in front who scored 17 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Sain, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.

Newton-Conover's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for West Caldwell, their loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton-Conover will take on Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincolnton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for West Caldwell, they will be playing at home against Bunker Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bunker Hill and West Caldwell are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
