Baseball Recap: Hamilton Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

While Hamilton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Plumas Charter Warriors 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 last Thursday.

Dylan Joksch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Patrick Matthews was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Hamilton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Plumas Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Mt. Shasta on the 25th. As for Plumas Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Modoc on the 26th.
